The ?
marks are mine as I have my doubts at to what Basil Green
would allow the public to know in 1971.
Why I know this is, because I
bought the first Capri Perana from Grosvenor Motors in 1970
the BG number was BG013. Unfortunately I sold it when I came
to live in England for two years. Ronnie tried all sorts of
fans to reduce the heat build up in traffic, where the car
would actually boil. He eventually had it put in a wind tunnel
and the little piece of metal sticking up off the radiator
altered the entire air flow under the bonnet keeping the car a
lot cooler. Unfortunately everyone who bought one with this
addition took it off, thinking it was to stop your tie from
being caught by the fan.
